This decorative bowl is handmade from soapstone in Kenya by a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organisation, which mainly works with family-owned workshops where there is a focus on basic needs and improved living conditions for employees.

The production of soapstone is a manual process and the natural material makes each product unique and creates an exciting and beautiful play of grey colours in each product. The Soapstone collection consists of this decorative bowl as well as various candle holders. All the products are polished which creates a beautiful smooth finish.

The organic shape of the bowl brings your mind to nature where movement and soft shapes are in focus. The bowl is beautiful to use as a decorative item in the living room, or for storing onions, garlic or similar. The bowl is not food safe. Be aware that the bowl can be stained by grease and other liquids.
