From old tree constructions to unique furniture
The furniture from the Kayu series is handmade from 100% FSC-certified recycled teak, sourced from old buildings, carefully dismantled, cleaned, and planed before finding new life in the hands of skilled artisans.
The reclaimed teak is carefully shaped and treated with water-based pigment and multiple layers of oil to achieve a rich, deep, dark brown tone. The seat and backrest are woven by hand from natural banana leaf strings, to give the chairs both comfort, strength and character.
The result is unique furniture - a reflection of sustainable materials, craftsmanship, and the beauty of handmade. Created to be lasting companions around the table or to stand alone as unique objects. Each piece carries its own history.
